Public Service Announcements

Public Service Announcement (PSA) – Any announcement for which no charge is made and which promotes one time programs, activities, or services of federal, state, or local governments or non-profit organizations and other announcements regarded as serving community interests.
PSA guidelines:
Record at 192kbps
Save it as an MP3
Include the five W’s – Who/What/Where/When/Why
Keep it between 15 and 20 seconds long
Use only one person’s voice – unaltered
Do not use music, music beds or sound effects
Name the file as follows – Year Month and Date that the event takes place along with the First and Last initials of the person who’s voice is used.  If the event is on the 17th of May 2009 and Jon Doe’s voice is used in the audio file the file name would look like this: 20090517jd.mp3
